LocalsGH on your Home Screen

Use iPhone’s Share menu, install from your Android browser, or download an Android APK. Choose your phone’s instructions, then open the app for your role below.

iPhone

Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen

Choose Open web app for your app below and open it in Safari. Tap Share (the square with an upward arrow), then Add to Home Screen. Keep Open as Web App on if shown, then tap Add.

No APK download needed. If the option is missing, scroll down the Share menu and check Edit Actions. If you opened Locals inside another app, open the same address in Safari first.

Android

Chrome → ⋮ menu → Add to home screen

Choose Open web app below in Chrome. Open the ⋮ menu, tap Add to home screen or Install app, then confirm Install or Add. Menu wording varies by browser.

Prefer a direct download? Choose Download Android APK instead and follow the APK instructions below. You only need one installation method.

Open the app you want before adding it to your Home Screen, not this download page. Web apps work on both phones; APK files are Android only.

Android APK: install and update

  1. Download the APK for your role and open it from Downloads.
  2. If Android asks, allow this browser to install apps only if you trust the download from localsgh.com, then tap Install. Do not ignore security warnings.
  3. Find the app in your app drawer. If it is not on your Home Screen, press and hold its icon and drag it there.
  4. When an update is available, the installed app shows an Update available notice.
  5. Download the new APK and install it over the existing app. Your saved app data stays in place.
Security: only use APKs from localsgh.com. Every release is signed with the same protected LocalsGH key so Android can verify official updates.
